Calling all Horticulture Professionals…Join us for Chesapeake Green 2018 – A Horticulture Symposium!

Chessie Green, as it is known within the industry, is a two-day event packed full of engaging and informative horticulture education.  The symposium will be held on February 20 and 21, 2018 back at the Maritime Institute. We are proud to be celebrating Chessie Green’s 15th year! We are confident that many of you are happy with the move back to the Maritime if for nothing else, the OUTSTANDING lunch! Come for the great education and enjoy the networking, vendor showcase, and silent auction (to benefit scholarship).

On Day 1, February 20th, Rodney Eason, CEO of the Mount Desert Land & Garden Preservewill be serving double duty – presenting the keynote, explaining the rich history of the Preserve and it’s plans moving forward as well as an industry break out session, “Plant and Design the Garden That You Have Always Wanted to Visit.” Rodney, a native of North Carolina is bringing his southern charm and expansive industry knowledge to our conference. The MNLGA is proud to have Rodney at Chessie 2018.

Following Rodney’s keynote, attendees will have the option of participating in any of four concurrent educational tracks, generally divided into nursery grower, greenhouse grower, landscape contractor, and retail garden center.

These concurrent tracks are full of industry relevant information for all levels of employees as well as new dynamic speakers that present different takes on industry topics.

Return for Day 2 on February 21st for full ornamental horticulture pesticide recertification PLUS nutrient management certification and Maryland’s turf management recertification.
