We have compiled the below list of resources that you may find helpful. You will notice that there are links for Maryland specific information as well as National information. The MNLGA is working with state association executives across North America to compile the best resources, and all are working together as to not recreate the wheel of information.

If you have any questions during this time, or information to share, please reach out to the MNLGA, 410-823-8684 or [email protected]

March 30th Update: Governor Hogan has announced a mandated stay-at-home order for all Marylanders, except those engaged in essential business and for consumers who have essential need to leave their homes, as of 8:00 pm this evening. (The MNLGA will communicate any information as it becomes available) Linked here is the official Executive Order from the Governor's office.

  • Summary of the Governor's press conference on 3/30 from The Baltimore Sun and the Baltimore Business Journal
  • The following information provided in italics is from the MDA. As of right now, there has been no change in the definition of what are essential businesses or not. As of last week, the spectrum of Green Industry businesses in Maryland were deemed essential. Reached out to the governor's office for some guidance. Moving into this new phase of action to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, all businesses should make an honest determination if their operation is essential to public health and safety. Businesses that are not directly linked to public health and safety should scale back their operations, if they have not done so already. Specifically, most retail businesses should immediately move to eliminate foot traffic, end curbside pick-up options and move to delivery only.

The MNLGA understands that at this time you may want to reach out to consumers and engage with them on the importance of our industries and what they can do to stay "green" during their time at home. We have compiled resources below from our industry peers that you may find helpful at this time. The MNLGA has also created our own consumer marketing materials which you will see below for members and businesses to use.

MNLGA Consumer Marketing Social Media Images(Please note that the MNLGA had these images designed, however; they are not MNLGA branded. We expect to have a few more graphics to post. The intent is for MNLGA members and businesses to use these images as they see fit. You will need to personalize them to include your own business information, and we urge you to indicate how you are conducting business right now (phone and online orders with delivery...etc.) so that consumers can still support you! Select each image below for the full-size version to download.)
